Welcome to the big leagues kiddo. You can talk about unity until you are blue in the face, but unity is only good when observed by all. At some point people get tired of getting hit and decide to hit back.
Most of the Republicans trashed T rump in the primaries, but now spinelessly back him to the hilt. It’s more that anything goes for the GOP once in office.
It is mostly because before Trump, the Republican party considered themselves half-finished. They were almost sure that they would lose, and there were enormous internal friction, threatening to rip them apart. But Trump won. Now they are too afraid to lose again.
Maybe they're taking the Trumpian approach and hope for the best? Thrash everyone around you...
