Let me say this, I grew up in an inner city neighborhood and the security guards in my schools were often violent with kids. Choking and dragging were common place. Thank God for bc the world can now see the trauma poor kids face everyday. #theforgottennomore

Also let me be clear, kids can me jerks and middle school kids are often the worst, but it is the adults job to remember that kids often speak how they are spoken to at home. Adults, next time you encounter a smart -mouthed kid ask yourself what is that kid going through

Please don’t generalize putting cops in schools as a threat. I have a friend who is genuinely a good person, and he is a cop at a continuation high school. The kids love him and some even look up to him.

This ‘not all cops’ argument is like the ‘not all men’ argument. We should be saying ENOUGH cops put kids in danger to do something about it, David is right.

I am horrified by this. I feel for this child. Let me be clear. I don’t care how the right spins this. Felony assault of a child should never happen at the hands of the police. This is monstrous. Deputy needs to be fired and arrested now

How in the WORLD can you take this incident and make it political?!? I am POSITIVE that right, left, centrist ... HUMAN ... will all agree this is despicable and completely out of bounds for anyone on any level to treat a child like this. Why -- WHY -- would you say this?!?

“What prompted the violence” are you kidding me... what prompted the violence is this man is violent. People like this should never be allowed to have a badge & weapon & be in a position of power/authority.

And in a school full of kids!!!! unbearable to watch!
