As Americans, we must recognize the great need for police reform because our fellow citizens and cops themselves are endangered on a daily basis by this expensive, bias and ineffective relic of slavery and indigenous genocide.

Er, no. The 2nd Amendment was ratified because of the fear that central government in Washington may someday start to use Federal military to enforce its will on states. So, the idea was, that well-trained State's militia would be a deterrence.
