I'm afraid I disagree. Americans don't care about other people's children. Until it happens to them or someone they know they would rather have the gun than save a life. And the politicians prefer the money than protecting the people.
There is not one gun owner I have met that would hesitate turning in their AR-15 if they knew it would save a child’s life. I think most gun owners— including my father feel the same way because most people value nothing more then their kids.

I have a firearm because I do care about my family and others, and I am teaching my son that firearms are tools that are only as dangerous as the person using it, same as any other tool.

There is not one gun owner we have met that wouldn’t hesitate picking up their AR-15 to fight to save a child’s life. We know most gun owners, especially our fathers, feel the same way because they value nothing more than their kids, and will defend them at all costs.

As a CCDW holder, I've had the uncomfortable conversation with my wife that if we are ever out and an there is an active shooter, I have a responsibility as a trained carrier to protect my fellow citizens, especially children. I am willing to risk my own life to protect others.

you havent met me. im an owner and know me turning in my ar-15 will not save a childs life because it will never be used to take a childs life. its used at the range and when hunting hogs and only those times. dont demonize me as i am on your side when it comes to better controls

I've opined that the AR-15 is to firearms what Pit Bulls are to dogs. Feared, misundersood, but very good when not abused or misused.
