Yes, but the stick won't kill a whole class of students in 30 sec.

Putting our kids through this trauma will result in a generation of kids who, whether they are survivors or live with the possibility of being shot every single day, with PTSD.

When my kids are told that if a friend gets shot next to them they have to play dead and lay in the blood to survive - it’s like they’re at war. That’s no way for anyone to live, much less to be raised that way

My 5 yr old grandson told me they had a CODE RED drill. I was curious to know how they explained it to 5 yr olds. He said "we turned out the lights, sat on the storage closet floor with the door locked and stayed quiet so bad people with guns won't find & kill us."

How can anybody watch this and not be moved to make changes? No one, especially kids, should not have to do active shooter drills. Annually, thousands of people die from gun violence. There are people suffering from PTSD. This should not be our new normal.

My heart

Every morning dropping my daughter off to school I kiss her & hug her & tell her I love her & then for the rest of the day I’m terrified until I pick her up at the end of the day. Then the next day it’s the same, & the next day etc.
It shouldn’t be like this.

Same here. There is no peace of mind any more.
