We weren’t a country with borders back then. What you seem to forget about the past is that colonizing and invading other countries was the word of the day back then.

Are you including Native Americans who would go to war with neighboring tribes and take their land?
-
I am Native and you claim to know more about my History than I do. You see everything through the Euro perspective of Colonization Wars and Manifest Destin. My ancestors did not live here for over 20000 years and have endless wars. That is the European Narrative and it is a lie!

As a teacher I will tell you when Columbus Day comes I ask, if I came to your house and claimed to “find” does it now belong to me? Now compare that to Columbus. I have a degree in History from over 20 years ago, and I don’t teach lies. Nationalism is often taught at home.
