Sorry, David, I love your underlying sentiments here, but you are wrong. Nazis have complicated origins, but they have always been and always will be a major part of the radical right, particularly in America.

Dinesh D’Souza and Jonah Goldberg have had a nice little grift pretending fascism is a left-wing phenomenon for awhile now. Please don’t help feed it.

Actually, *not* calling them far right is a slippery slope. Their philosophy and movements are connected to the right. Trying to turn them into monsters with no connection to the political context they’re part of is exactly what the right does in order to escape responsibility.

His tweet was unclear to me, but I think you nailed it.

Agreed! These are labels that continue to accurately describe the individual in question. Lumping them into a far right category only dilutes their extremism.

Red flag laws are a slippery slope: a database of disabled/mentally ill ppl is bad. Naming Nazis as "far-right" is not: it's reality. it gives moderate conservatives a chance to distance themselves from right wing white supremacy- OR to be complicit maintain the status quo.

What do you envision for "new gun laws"?
-
Easy. License, registration, extensive background check, insurance, a 3 week hold on the guns before the purchase is final , and a quarterly mental health exam.
