Because going out and killing a bunch of innocent people is a surefire sign of a healthy mind.
Racism is not a mental illness. Xenophobia is not a mental illness. Patriarchy is not a mental illness. People that are mentally ill r more likely to be the victims of gun violence rather than the perpetrators. 2/3 of gun deaths are suicides stop stigmatizing mental illness.

Here's the thing, they don't have healthy minds, but there's a lot more going on than just pre-existing mental illness. It's an ideology that preys on people who feel alienated and without purpose or hope and gives them a dehumanized enemy to fire at.

Not all gun owners will commit mass murder. Not all with mental illness will commit gun violence. But the combination of the two is deadly and should not be underestimated for political gain. We can support gun reform AND improved MH care! And we need to. Yesterday.

You obviously have no idea what a mental Illness is! Anyone who walks into a building and kills 20 people is either a psychopath or a sociopath—those are mental illnesses! Just because you have followers doesn’t mean you have facts.
