Black people shoot each other almost daily in NYC and many other US cities, but #BlackLivesMatter
is silent. They care only about what they perceived to be racially motivated targeting of blacks. Black lives taken by other black people don't seem to matter for them.

It's a matter of accountability. At the end of the day, the perception that black lives in the US are cheap drives both police shootings and inner city violent crimes.
The key is always numbers. None of us can stand alone, or even in small groups (apologies to small protest groups). For the kinds of issues we're facing, we need MASSIVE crowds, completely overwhelming any police resistance that is likely to arise.
