I think guys need to talk about our feelings and mental health way more in an open and honest environment. Where conversations are had between us rather than at us. I’m tired of my mental health— as a guy being a talking point and not actually being addressed with other guys.

Always remember that depression is an illness, not a weakness. Some injuries are not as visible as others. I’m glad you got the treatment you needed. The world is a better place with you in it.

You’re wise beyond your years dude. You’ll do big things. I don’t subscribe to all your positions, but I respect the heck out of your ability to advocate for what you believe. This thread was well reasoned and I 100% agree. Thanks for sharing.

Thank you for sharing this! My son is 11 & was diagnosed with OCD/severe anxiety/depression when he was 9. With the help of his awesome teacher, school staff, & a wonderful therapist he has come a LONG way. He is not ashamed or afraid to explain what he’s going through to others.

I hope he continues to share his struggle, just as you did, so that more people can learn that acknowledging and persevering through the invisible fight of mental health issues isn’t weakness, it’s a true feat of strength.
