I wonder if any of the presidential candidates support getting us to Mars by 2030 Projects like Apollo and others from NASA have to lead to the invention of tons of new products/technologies, employed over 400,000 Americans while doing so and helped unite everyday Americans.
Sadly with the combination of high costs and it polling low it’s not going to happen for a while.

NASA actually makes money for the US with its technology transfer program. It’s the biggest no brainer to invest in it.

It would be much easier to land humans on mars if we developed the moon as an electrolysis driven fuel generator/refuel station/launch hub. It is hard to get to mars from earth directly, we can carry much more if we add a stop on the way
