But it was Parkland, and you kids, that changed the debate. There were plenty of us out here, for years, unsuccessfully trying to beat the NRA lobby. Like Stonewall was a watershed for the gay rights movement, Parkland survivors mainstreamed gun control. Well done & thank you.

Of course it does, but you “kids” have provided tremendous inspiration. You have made a huge contribution to the change that we all need. Thank you!

It’s true that you have many others to thank as well, but the courage, vision, and fierce devotion you kids (now young adults) brought to this issue within hours of a catastrophic, life-altering event was absolutely critical in bringing this conversation to the forefront.

Early last year, I would have been like, "Park ... dale? Parkland? Parkville? Now? I wonder if Parkland is going to be able to stand alone in datelines soon, or if it already has.
