There’s this weird trend among women in my community arming themselves with concealed carry permits & purse guns. It’s coming from the right wing, Facebook, & evangelicals as far as I can tell. Arming themselves against caravans, most likely. A new American low.

I hope that those women come to their senses. Carrying a weapon in a purse is dangerous. Pulling a weapon out of a purse could be deadly for a woman who is not fully trained to recognize threats and respond effectively. Crazy, crazy puffery that is bound to turn tragic.

Absolute bullshit. I knew kids who stole the teachers' personal ipads that were under lock and key. What makes them think a student couldn't get a gun? Also, people in the MILITARY would have trouble actually getting the right person in those scenarios, let alone a fuckin teacher

That's exactly what happened in Thornton but for some reason the media just ignored it. The police issued a statement saying that all the open carriers in the Walmart that day made it impossible to determine who the real shooter was, and that it allowed him to sneak out.

Ya until the teacher has a mental breakdown and becomes the next mass shooter and now that you've armed them and they are already inside. but sure don't don't you don't wanna rely on the government. It's not like teachers don't have a history of handling stress badly.. oh wait
