Translation: peoples rights are subject to the whim of government and ours should be too. No thanks, I’ll take 2A for $800.

I've never seen someone fight so hard to get there own freedoms taken away. Nobody seems to remember that the 2nd protects the 1st.
-
The 1st protects the 1st. Believe it or not, a lot of people don’t seen firearm ownership as a freedom. For me, literally the only thing about it that represents freedom is that despite the massive amounts of resistance, gun ownership is still legal. But guns by themselves don’t.

In other words, there is no one helping defend any perceived right to defend themselves, while the government all but insures more law abiding citizens become victims.

Yeah mate, that statement is bollocks and deluded. Owning a gun is not a right but a privilege, and owning a gun for self defense has always been illegal in NZ. And... you can still own a gun in NZ, just not a semi auto with hi-cap mag (or a non-sport handgun for that matter).

It's as simple as looking what's being said by Americans about their beloved guns over sensible actions against nonsensical gun violence in this tweet to see the difference between countries and people

@davidhogg111 did you hear@RepMaloney today call out banks for their financial ties to the gun industry? Did not see entire hearing but think she's the only one who brought up this subject. Worth a listen.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

You mean... When you don't live in a free country... Here we have rights, and your feelings don't trump my rights. You should get over that and figure out how to battle this without gun bans which will NEVER work in this country.
