This bill deters peace officers from using deadly force and if they do, they are required to provide evidence that it was necessary. According to Mapping Police Violence and the Washington Post, there were only 22 days in all of last year where police didn’t kill someone.

This law is insane. It will hamstring police, forcing them not to delay engaging violent criminals out if fear they could be fired or worse. They need to act quickly and make split second decisions. This is CA for you.
