Because mainstream artists who influence a large number of (young) people still use it in their lyrics giving the idea that it’s still ‘cool’ or ‘okay’ to say

No, it's because some children have internalized entitlement. The black artists that use those words are reclaiming them. Those children are acting on privilege, using words they shouldn't be using. We cannot police how a group uses their words, nor should we be doing so.
