Disagree, David. One of the biggest reasons for the massive increase in the number of people imprisoned in America is our need to impose such long sentences. Forty years is forever in prison.
It’s Texas. Santa Fe is about 45 miles from Houston. The big city never held a citywide memorial for Santa Fe school shooting victims. Texas is a big gun touting state. Same reason they do very little to go after chemical plants that poison air and water....
