if teachers don't want to be armed, they don't have to be... BUT do NOT FORCE them to be UNARMED!

Teachers should be allowed to make that decision for themselves if they are qualified to carry.

You worry about Broward County and let others worry about how they want their counties handled. Best done at the local level....

Floridians, please note that David wants your precious children to be future victims of a rogue shooter. Much like his ‘classmates’ they will be cowering in fear while waiting for help that never seems to arrive. We certainly wouldn’t want an armed teacher stopping the carnage

I'm pretty sure if someone knew they were gonna be shot when they try to shoot up a place.. they would have second thoughts. Remember, a criminal wants an easy target.. Harden the schools. Less killings in school. We protect our banks, leaders, politicians Why not our children.

If an active shooter knows who is armed he will take them out first

I would think a teacher would want to protect him/herself from a shooter.

Different country, but although I'm sure all my primary school teachers loved their charges and would try to protect us come what may, I really can't imagine any of them drawing their Glock and taking down the nutter with the AR15. Not even the terrifying Mrs Saunders.
