Chicago has some of the strictest gun laws and has some of the most shootings annually. There is absolutely no corelation between shootings and gun laws, because (shocker) criminals do not obey the law. How did you get into Harvard?

Except for the fact that you cant single out any variable in Chicago to determine that. Neighboring states laws are loose and easy to travel too. Youd have to track where each gun came from in order to determine the effectiveness of Chicago gun laws.

Remarkable that you can have ‘a rate of mass shootings’. But then in the UK I guess we do have a rate; it’s approximately 1 every twenty years for the whole country.

They picked a different way. They use knives. One needs to look at all weapons.

Know that feeling, a few days ago was the 10th anniversary of a school shooting, so far the only one in my state It's seen as a national tragedy and not something that can happen every other Tuesday

Need to see the actual study. Primarily; data which defines the terms. How do they guage a mass shooting, how restrictive or non restrictive a state is and whether the guns used were illegal in the first place.
