It's a majority African-American, D+6 district. Which means that it's a likely safe Democratic seat regardless of the Democratic nominee. In other words, if a Democrat had to be primary-ed for being too pro-gun, this is one worth looking at.

@sandfordbishop has represented my hometown district very well for many years. Many constituents are farmers and own rifles for hunting. Good luck trying to change their opinion.

Ditto per se. He was the 1st politician I knew in my hometown who looked like me long before I fully understood the foundation of certain policies. We were practically neighbors. It was also during a time when the people benefitted more than politicians lining their pockets.
