The responses to this tweet are borderline nonsensical. Police are not the enemy, but the system that has allowed an armed minority to beat others into submission goes against many American ideals. It is important that we acknowledge this as we work towards a better police.

Ryan, it depends on the conduct. in some cases they CAN be the enemy. I say this as a person with a lot of friends who wear the badge. If you are a cop who shoots or beats an unarmed person, you ARE the enemy. If you are a cop who sits by while this happens, you ARE the enemy.
