No one with a history of domestic violence should ever be able to purchase a firearm. The NRA disagrees with that because... -Because they want to sell more guns -Because they profit off of mass shootings that cause gun sales to skyrocket.
Also if you are a domestic abuser you do not count as a law abiding gun owner.
Lastly, anyone with a history of domestic violence should not be allowed to be in law enforcement, ever.
The huge unspoken problem here is that the rate of domestic violence is about 24-25% among police officers. 2-4 times the rate of the general public. It’s why victims often don’t receive the help they should from responding officers. I’d be 
for saying they shouldn’t be cops!
Agree. While I was in D/V shelter met a wife of law enforcement from another county. It was 3rd shelter she had been placed. One night a local officer brought a new resident. He went out of his way to talk to her (knew her & husband thru state law enforcement group. That night
Yes this is one simple loop home. Personally I think guns should be insured. There would be way more accountability then.
Just this one simple change in the law would save lives. How can any responsible gun owner not support that.
Because I feel like alot of those "responsible" ones fall into the quick to anger and domestic violence types or know someone they wouldn't snitch on

Also: look at the horrifyingly high percentage of killers with histories of domestic violence. It is an unmistakable pattern.
