I’d rather the government strictly regulate everyone’s 2nd Amendment rights than expect a newspaper to voluntarily restrict their own 1st Amendment rights. I get the argument for this approach, but it will never be as effective as gun control.
While I agree with you, I do think that MSM could do a much better job balancing its First Amendment rights with its duty/responsibility to the public it informs. Asking MSM to make common-sense changes isn't unreasonable and they can choose to do what they will in the end.
