I just got barred from entering the Stoneman Douglas meeting. I was told it was only open to parents of 10th graders and elected officials. I just saw @davidhogg111 walk in. Not sure which one he is.

Fortunately someone was kind enough to anonymously provide the audio from the meeting so we could share it with the community.https://www.sun-sentinel.com/local/broward/parkland/florida-school-shooting/fl-ne-parkland-parents-meeting-audio-20190205-story.html …

Thank you for sharing this! As a MSD alumna (whose parents are forever Parklanders), I appreciate your hard work trying to make sure we all learn about the updates to our school.

Freedom of the press doesn't mean that the press are allowed in every room no matter what all the time. That is literal insanity.
-
When elected officials are in the room to discuss matters of great public interest, it most certainly does. Or should.

Fair enough. Work for you,
@smtravis? -
As I said, my issue wasn’t who got in. It was who got shut out, which was not just the press but most of the public. And the fact that the school district makes rules but selectively enforces them.
