The parkland shooting report concluded that armed teachers would have helped. Typically the best way to immediately stop a shooter is to shoot them.

You assume that a teacher is a marksman that will not hesitate in a crisis. There is a muscle memory and training that is required to act in these situations that teachers do not have, nor should they be forced to endure. This is real life; not a videogame.

100's of millions? Even if so, our kids are worth it. Parkland's task force recommendations are comprehensive, allowing trained staff to protect is only one facet. These recommendations are based on experts in the field of security, not knee-jerk politicians looking for votes.

They are no longer representing us. They work for $$$. Therefore, they work for lobbyists and the NRA has the wealthiest.

The NRA doesn't even come close to the amount of money that pharmaceuticals give to politicians. They do a lot more damage to this country by far.

Serious question....if you'd have had the means to defend yourself and others that day would you have? Or would you have remained morally opposed to self defence and waited on the police, which we know how that went.
-
I would defend myself and others.

I am totally against armed teachers, what if they decide they're afraid of a Black student or don't like the student... Tax payers are paying for these children to attend school without fear, tax payers will be the ones to figure this out, not the politicians

Where in history has that happened
