So by blocking' stand your ground' you've now made it illegal to defend yourself. CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!

I've had my Florida CCW permit since before they implemented "stand your ground". You could always defend yourself. What "stand your ground" did was to eliminate the "duty to retreat" if you could do so safely. The old system was better.

After the horrible examples of abuse of the " Stand Your Ground" in Florida..its good to see Gov. Kasich veto this "license To Kill" legislation.
-
Give me one example of abuse of this law. People have tried to use it as a defense, but it doesn’t get them off. Abuse would be being cleared of charges when they should not be. Hasn’t happened.

Let’s just hope the new governor acts the same. Kasich is trying to pretend he’s a moderate

Right! He's done some serious damage in Ohio!

Props to
@JohnKasich. He’s who the@GOP should have nominated in ‘16. -
Let's not forget that Kasich is also tied to this mess regarding Russia and/or what Mueller and the DOJ have been investigating. Granted, it's not as deep as many other GOP lawmakers tied to this, but Kasich did take $250K from Viktor Vekselberg and Len Blavatnik in 2016.

#StandYourGround is nothing but a license to kill. It should be struck down everywhere.Thanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

I usually despise Republicans but John Kasich has a moral compass. That’s a very rare thing in the Republican Party. He has been a very good governor.
