I became an educator to educate kids. If I had wanted to become an armed guard, I would have gone into Secret Service.

If the teacher was using a gun to defend students and himself it wouldn’t be his job at that time, it would be a little bigger than a job.

Less guns have got to help. If legitimate hunter or sport shooter/no problem with getting a deer permit or storing weapon in a locker at the range. Everybody running around able to pack 'heat' is crazy in my book. Thank you for your voice.

I’m a high school teacher, a gun owner, and a concealed carry permit holder who has been through the proper training. It’s great idea, but don’t give them to every teacher. Only those who have been trained and feel comfortable doing so

What if a teacher is mistaken for the shooter? Bad idea. No!

Especially if the teacher isn't white.

As a student,I can say that most children don’t want to have their teacher armed.I wouldnt feel safe in a classroom. Plus,no teacher in my school would be able to shoot one of their students if they were a threat & police don’t know who the shooter is.Only info is an armed person
