I politely disagree. Most all of our political leaders are well educated and overwhelming numbers of this well educated group are war mongers, and/or have no issues selling arms to bloodthirsty nations. One doesn't need to be educated to be against violence.

I think there are multiple different kinds of violence, but for me at least the people in power and the incredibly wealthy selling weapons/other war time supplies to violent governments or radical groups is a different kind of violence than personally attacking someone

Exactly, also against racism, science denial, and many other social ills. Fully funded free public education is vital in a democracy

I also think it’s a vaccine against intolerance. We need programs across the country that teach about diversity so we tamp down this notion that “the other” is to be feared or dismissed.
