And training. And background check. And you should have to get it renewed regularly. And a federal system should hold everyone’s licenses so if someone has a domestic violence or stalking claim their license is suspended.

To have a service animal you need sign-off from a licensed psychologist. Should be at least that hard for a gun.

In Illinois, you need to apply for an FOID (Firearm Owner's ID), which requires a background check by the state police and a fee. We also have waiting periods. IIRC it's 24 hours for a long gun (rifle, shotgun) and 7 days for a handgun. Definitely a good start. Nationalize that.

You should need a license to open your mouth, kid. Whining babies with no brain are annoying. I hope one day you find yourself in a situation where you wish you had a gun. Then, tell the guy in front of you that you are on his side, and see what happens. Stupid.
