Under most common sense gun law policy proposals, your right to bear arms is NOT TOUCHED. The amendment does not preclude specification of the number and kinds of "arms" a citizen can possess. This is where we need attention: number, kinds, and background checks

Only who ignore the hundreds of thousands to millions of lives saved every year could make that claim. I find that people who support gun bans are the ones who don't care about lives. Since according to the CDC more lives are saved than taken by guns.

Well done side stepping that natural inclination to say ”pro-life” in that moment until you realize the implacations. I know it's hard to comprehend right now, but some day you're gonna have to rationally reconcile anti-gun and pro-choice. /1

Personally, I'm pro-life and pro-protection of life. I've also seen enough of the darker corners of this world to know sometimes that means using a gun, and enough to accept that the wicked will find any means to commit wicked deeds no matter what you bring to the fight.
