  It’s a fine line, but sometimes there’s valuable information to be gained searching for a motive. Of course, that risks glorifying the killer. Like I said tricky. BTW: Mad respect for what you and your schoolmates have accomplished. Keep fighting the good fight!

  If the media just started calling the shooters "Asshole #17" or something instead of giving their name any recognition (and thus glorifying them), things might could be at least somewhat different.
