To solve gun violence we must recognize it as a public health crisis. In the same way, those that advocated for safer cars and roads we're not anti or pro car, I'm not anti or pro gun I’m pro people not dying which is something I'm pretty sure we can all agree on.

That article is old and incorrect. Either way, you should look into the omnibus bill that passed in March which clarifies that th cdc can conduct research. This is a left wing BS talking point.
