I was shot through my living room window in my arm and chest with both barrels of 12 g shotgun loaded with buckshot over 25 years ago. I still freak out when a car passes my house slowly or if someone drives past me when I am walking. The fear is like my scars it never goes away.

The mental, emotional, developmental scars inflicted on caged children. The scars on families that live threatened daily for not being accepted. The scars on people who choose to live. I am so deeply saddened by your sorrow.
