Language! Kids didn’t used speak like that and never complained. If we’d been able to show feelings, we may not have become adults that can ignore a tragedy and bully victims into staying quiet. Keep fighting, David! Young people like you are the future, and a better one for it.

Twitter limitations can make it difficult to express an entire thought. First part was sarcasm, second a regretful musing turning into anger at my, and my parents’, generation, and the last a sincere expression of admiration.

Precisely what the Tories and their ilk don't want. They fear a well educated populace, and fought the idea all though the 19th and 20th centuries, even including Comprehensive education. They want ordinary people to know jusy enough to do their jobs and as they're told, no more.

They want us to be units of production, earning money for them. Critical thinking capacity is not allowed as it leads to dissent.
