I just moved and the first thing I did was update my driver's license and my voter registration for my new ward. I'm lucky DC allows same-day registration because I was caught off guard at the primaries when my registration didn't match my address. Never gonna happen again!

Rallies & memes & demonstrations & petitions & postcards & phone calls & polls DO matter in that they help us find our tribe, exercise our voice, and practice our activism. CHANGE comes when we vote (if we can get good candidates). They all matter, just for different reasons

If you only vote when you get candidates that meet your personal standard of "good", then the rest of that just serves your own feelings. A country starving for justice can't hold out for steak & lobster; we need to order the fish & chips that's actually on the menu.
