As a 3D designer and former soldier. I can tell you that not all the parts, especially the firing pin cannot be printed so metal parts with still be part of the weapon, the shells themselves alone will set it of. I'm anti gun but pro common sense.

I'd also like to add that the material used to create objects in 3D printing is very very similar to thermoplastic. Which softens when exposed to heat. I.E the heat caused the energy and gases from the bullet. At best they will get 2 shots before it breaks if lucky.

ok..this has to stop. THE BULLETS CAN BE! and these guns still are not strong enough to actually fire more than MAYBE a couple bullets (if any in most cases) or accurate enough to pose any more of a threat than someone who uses a small length of pipe to make a zip gun.

I want reasonable gun control as much as anyone, but THIS is unreasonable fear. You can make a more useful gun out of parts from home depot, and there is no such thing as a plastic bullet.

Terrorist organizations around the world celebrating & laughing at the idiots running this country. The USA with the lamest, easiest gun laws to maneuver around just got even more lax.

And international law suits against us. Other sane countries don’t want these guns.
