In Florida anyone can request absentee ballot. You don't have to be absent. I have been voting that way for years. Free postage, you can track your ballot online and a paper trail. Can't hack the mail. Being primitive has it's advantages. Vote mail in.

In California, you can register permanent absentee and they will mail you a postage-paid ballot for every election. Recommended for busy people! You can also decide not to use it and go vote in person during early voting or on election day instead.

And the chances of you actually voting go up dramatically, since you never know if your boss will be a jerk that day, or if you’ll get sick, or your car breaks down. Californians: get on the permanent vote by mail list! It’s easy.

CRITICALLY important, David. The governor of N.H. just signed a bill requiring college students to have a N.H. license to vote here. There USA huge student population in N.H. Only 4 electoral votes but those 4 votes would have made Al Gode president.
