Education education education, the long game. Not a quick fix but the only way. So important. For young people, old people. Educating yourself should never stop. Civics should be mandatory as well as learning how to deal with media today.

If the “civics” curriculum is not objectively based on facts, it won’t have the desired effect of educating citizens to think for themselves. It will merely indoctrinate them. Proceed with caution, as this is obviously under way in many states.

Been saying civics classes need to come back since 2016.

David, when I was in school, Civics was a "required" course. Every Freshman had to take/pass to become a Sophomore.
