okay so this is stupid. barring a search of a database infringes constitutional rights and has ridiculous unforeseen consequences. someone should challenge this. happy to help.

David, Federal funds can’t be used to conduct research on gun violence! Lack of searchable gun violence data is by design. Researchers are stymied by these policies & procedures Gun violence is a Public Health problem, but it can’t be studied!

I believe the Congress recently revised this issue so that CDC could do research.

I've worked armed much of my adult life, but I'll be the first to say our obsession with guns, not the safe and sane ownership of them but the near worship of the 2nd Amendment, is psychotic. Our need for that display of power is pathetic.

There are 25 million people in this country who are between 18-24 years old. That’s what I would consider a substantial voting bloc. Just imagine for a moment the sea change in the direction we take as a civil society, and the roll you will play in it. You can make it a reality.

You can't make effective policy without good data; barring collection of useful data is what tells us something very fishy and wrong is going on. The NRA is proving itself evil, like deadly Big Tobacco.
