Good for you, @davidhogg111 . I love your willingness to talk to folks who want to keep schools safe, even if you and I might disagree with their ideas. But those who call you crisis actors? That’s not a different opinion, it’s a different reality. Keep on. I’m so proud of you.

I care more about what the living victims think.... like the ones that held the school system and sheriffs department and the fbi accountable.... not a kid that thinks its the nra or marcos fault your making money off those victims. #nodavidhoggbloodmoney

Name calling and generalizations do not lead to real dialogue; it usually causes people to defend themselves which discourages dialogue. Real dialogue involves both sides listening to understand another position. It is more than waiting for my turn to talk.

I love honest discussions where people can share their point of view & why it works. Some like to argue. I don’t, but a person sharing their point of view & stating pros & cons is never wrong! It’s possible two different views can come up with a solution that works for everyone!

Debate is healthy and useful in its true spirit, the highest form of civil discussion. Don't be dissuaded by juvenile understandings of its purpose.

I agree, David. Also--A debate IS a civil discussion. That's the point of debating, rather than arguing or fighting.

No one should have to face tragedies such as what happened on Feb 14th! It irks me to hear about school shootings. I cringed when my school had bomb threats. I worry about my fam & friends who have to send their children to school. We must solve issue so it will not happen again.
