What exactly is that going to do? You can join the military and fire fully automatic weapons at 18 but can’t own a firearm legally until 21?

In the military your trained to use it properly, have to maintain it, fully responsible if you loose your weapon. Very different from buying a rifle with no ID needed and taking out a few strangers with it...
