The Parkland shooter passed a background check because the school (under Obama-admin recommendations), local police and FBI failed to report and record possibly disqualifying factors. Background checks are useless when thwarted by liberal policies fearful of labeling bad actors.

And "universal background checks" are as bogus as your artificial "80% of NRA members" support. As if illegal gun sales and thefts will cease once criminals realize they should submit to a background check, instead.
