If we require weeks of training for each firearm sale like they do in the military then I would be ok with an 18-year-old being able to own a firearm.

As a retired Army Officer I agree with
@davidhogg111 A Soldier goes about 9 wks basic, than their A school where they get more training on weapons. When they get to their unit they are considered 35% trained. Through the whole process they are evaluated for stability. -
