What policies have made it easier to get drugs? You’re also disregarding the fact that these tough on drug policies you’re proposing have been enforced for the past several decades with no success.

so first
@Twitter@jack temp blocked me for saying how easy it is to die on fentanyl - not surprised Twitter HQ is in the middle of it seems they just like to turn away and not look around at what is happening2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

The non-prosecution strategy made it easier + cheaper to get fentanyl which is very deadly causing 2 deaths/day. The tough policies did not eliminate drug use and have their own problems but now 2/day die in SF - count the bodies https://www.ktvu.com/news/most-people-dying-indoors-as-overdoses-surge-in-san-francisco-data-shows … https://archive.is/kEs4f pic.twitter.com/PlBRoalMfG

You keep saying this but you’re not providing any evidence to back this up. Drug overdoses have been on the rise in San Francisco since before Boudin was sworn into office as well. How do you explain that if it’s his policies supposedly causing this increase?

Only 1 year into
@chesaboudin so right now there is anecdotal evidence it'll take longer to prove it. We know the cost of maintaining the policy (2 die + 10 narcan saves / day) how long until you support a test of something different?2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes -

In other words: you don’t have any solid foundation for your argument. I think it’s silly to hold a DA responsible for what’s largely a public health crisis that has hit not just SF but the entire country extremely hard.

Curbing drug addiction & thus overdoses requires massive government rehabilitation programs that we just do not have right now. Boudin is taking the correct approach by not imprisoning addicts; he’s not responsible for short comings in other areas of government.

I never said imprison addicts - I said dealers. Make fentanyl harder to get. The dealers are literally killing lots of people almost 4X
#COVID19 in SF it is a huge number! So how many more killings until you support trying to reduce access? Everyday we wait two die1 reply 0 retweets 0 likes -

Yeah but again...we’ve been pouring drug dealers into prisons for the past 40 years with no success. What you’re describing has proven to simply not work. There’s always going to be someone to fill the market vacuum.

Scroll up 1. Fentanyl is new and way more deadly it changes the balance 2. There is anecdotal evidence compared to other cities lax prosecution reduces prices and increases access. But it's cool let's just check in a year from now and reevaluate when we have more data and bodies

I'm almost positive we will get 4 full years of @chesaboudin @MattHaneySF real world policy and ~3,000 drug killings to study in future years so it should be great data for academics to study lax prosecution impact on fentanyl availability
