@realDonaldTrump is more hated in SF but @chesaboudin and @MattHaneySF definitely did more damage! They are killing ~2 people/dayhttps://twitter.com/davidgobaud/status/1344146221154279425 …

Do you genuinely believe imprisoning low level drug dealers has any effect on drug usage? We’ve been fighting the War on Drugs for the past 40 years & drug addiction has become even more of an issue.

yes it would save lives in SF today. no it would not solve the problem. yes it is the right thing to do today given 2/day are being killed. the balance of harm from jail changed with fentanyl - just look at the numbers!

Do you have any evidence to prove it would save lives? If imprisoning low level drug dealers is effective, why hasn’t the War on Drugs in the past 40 years significantly declined drug usage/overdoses?

What policies have made it easier to get drugs? You’re also disregarding the fact that these tough on drug policies you’re proposing have been enforced for the past several decades with no success.

so first
@Twitter@jack temp blocked me for saying how easy it is to die on fentanyl - not surprised Twitter HQ is in the middle of it seems they just like to turn away and not look around at what is happening2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

The non-prosecution strategy made it easier + cheaper to get fentanyl which is very deadly causing 2 deaths/day. The tough policies did not eliminate drug use and have their own problems but now 2/day die in SF - count the bodies https://www.ktvu.com/news/most-people-dying-indoors-as-overdoses-surge-in-san-francisco-data-shows … https://archive.is/kEs4f pic.twitter.com/PlBRoalMfG

You keep saying this but you’re not providing any evidence to back this up. Drug overdoses have been on the rise in San Francisco since before Boudin was sworn into office as well. How do you explain that if it’s his policies supposedly causing this increase?

Only 1 year into
@chesaboudin so right now there is anecdotal evidence it'll take longer to prove it. We know the cost of maintaining the policy (2 die + 10 narcan saves / day) how long until you support a test of something different?2 replies 0 retweets 0 likes
Remember I agree there is huge cost of the industrial jail complex and "War on Drugs" but fentanyl has made drug use extremely more deadly so the cost of permitting the dealing and easy availability is way up
