We're using empirical evidence and meticulous data gathering to promote public safety.
That's not a standard that anyone has ever held the so called 'tough on drug' policies to.

Did they give you an award for most damage ever done in a single year? It’s truly remarkable how many ODs, burglaries, etc. have increased because of your policies. I’ve never seen one single politician hated by so much of the population.

@realDonaldTrump is more hated in SF but@chesaboudin and@MattHaneySF definitely did more damage! They are killing ~2 people/dayhttps://twitter.com/davidgobaud/status/1344146221154279425 …David Gobaud added,

Do you genuinely believe imprisoning low level drug dealers has any effect on drug usage? We’ve been fighting the War on Drugs for the past 40 years & drug addiction has become even more of an issue.

yes it would save lives in SF today. no it would not solve the problem. yes it is the right thing to do today given 2/day are being killed. the balance of harm from jail changed with fentanyl - just look at the numbers!

Do you have any evidence to prove it would save lives? If imprisoning low level drug dealers is effective, why hasn’t the War on Drugs in the past 40 years significantly declined drug usage/overdoses?

What policies have made it easier to get drugs? You’re also disregarding the fact that these tough on drug policies you’re proposing have been enforced for the past several decades with no success.

@Twitter@jack temp blocked me for saying how easy it is to die on fentanyl - not surprised Twitter HQ is in the middle of it seems they just like to turn away and not look around at what is happening2 replies 0 retweets 1 like -

The non-prosecution strategy made it easier + cheaper to get fentanyl which is very deadly causing 2 deaths/day. The tough policies did not eliminate drug use and have their own problems but now 2/day die in SF - count the bodies https://www.ktvu.com/news/most-people-dying-indoors-as-overdoses-surge-in-san-francisco-data-shows … https://archive.is/kEs4f pic.twitter.com/PlBRoalMfG

listen to someone who knows @MyTwolffamily https://twitter.com/MyTwolffamily/status/1336381412610469888 … fentanyl changed things it requires a rethink of the non-prosecution idea because so deadly. you can't deny 1) 2 day/dying and 2) ease of access is way up - if you don't live here come to the TL and look around

SFPD TenderloinVerified account @SFPDTenderloinLast night on the unit block of Jones, 4 young people, who believed they were snorting cocaine, all suffered a life threatening overdose. Based on what we are seeing, this was highly likely due to fentanyl. All 4 are alive today due to excellent response by officers &@SFFDPIO.0 replies 0 retweets 1 likeThanks.
