Agreed. Why should I pay for the schools in my zone when I don't have children or for your mom's nursing home care after she's out of money?
We are our brother's keepers... & sisters & mothers & fathers & husbands, wives & children. A civil society does not cost to much.
The rich & corporations should pay fair share & not get to wiggle thru loopholes that they're left only paying the Alternative Minimum Tax.
Trump wants to do away with the Alternative Minimum Tax. For instance. We learned in 2005, Trump earned $150M & paid $35M in AMT.
W/o the AMT, Trump would've paid $5M. A lot, to be sure, but only 3% of that year's income. That's less %wise than the lowest taxed income.
All they hear when they hear "women's healthcare" is "abortion", but they forget breast cancer, c-sections, prenatal care, etc.
Betting that more republican women (and their daughters) have had abortions than they're willing to admit
Dont forget the mistresses and prostitutes
of Trump alone..............
And abortion is obviously A-OK! If you're a man who needs to get rid of ' a problem' https://thinkprogress.org/why-this-lawmaker-opposes-abortion-for-everyone-except-his-own-wife-and-mistress-97bbed7ee304 …
To bad you are making your mom pay five times more than you for substandard insurance while protecting your own good healthcare #Ryan
Take the great plans from Congress & Senate! They should be just like us. They work for us-not other way around
You mean like paying thousands of dollars for maternity care under your plan? I guess motherhood will only be for the rich if that happens
More like women having babies in their living rooms. Much like the 1800s.
90% of births (the routine ones) also don't require a $20K+ hospital stay, despite what OB biz would like you to believe.
Problem with that line of reasoning is that you don't know whether you're one of the high-risk ones until it happens.
A one-in-ten risk of a high-risk birth is more than enough to warrant coverage for everyone.
I'm not saying coverage isn't needed, I'm saying the reason it's so damned expensive is that providers are needlessly driving up costs
The reason they drive up costs is that health care is a for-profit industry. Happens in every aspect of care, not just maternity.
Ex: Cdn docs order CT scans first, and MRIs only if the CT warrants. US docs often go straight to the (more $$) MRI. Why? Driving up costs.
