to clarify: i just can’t do fantasy. the second a hobbit, goblin or dragon is involved... i’m out. i think it’s mainly because in fantasy there is no guarantee people will stay dead, so i stop caring

... in saying that, my favourite genre is sci-fi, which features overlapping themes & concepts to fantasy. but i find the storytelling in sci-fi has more to say, and also there are no dragons or goblins which is a big plus
