Viscous rumor making the rounds, and I do mean the thick, sticky kind. Mad may be done as we know it after issue #10.

So sad. One of my proudest credits is being a
@MADmagazine contributor.#MADMagazine -

What a bummer. Part of my movie education was MAD parodies. Sad to think future movie needs won't have the same experience.
-
Same! They were so good you didn’t even need to see the movie to enjoy them. Then when you saw the movie you laughed all over again.

Damn, We grew up loving Mad Magazine and seeing it fold is A Big Deal

MAD isn't shutting down but is only leaving the newsstand and will be sold to the direct market. The best thing to do is buy MAD from your local comic shop and support it as much as possible, it's not going away!

The best part of going to the grocery store when i was a kid was grabbing a copy of
@MADmagazine in the checkout line. It shaped me in ways i nevef want to shake. RIPThanks. Twitter will use this to make your timeline better. UndoUndo

It’s fitting and logical because irony is nearly dead and sarcasm is now considered a micro aggression. Also people don’t want to think anymore. They want sensation and outrage triggers. That’s it.

Really sad news. One of my most favourite things is reading MAD. It’s a decades old connection to being a kid, carefree, having fun and enjoying the brilliance of folks like yourself. thank you for 50+ years of the 67.

I read every page from cover to cover. The humor was perfect for my childhood. Mad taught me irony and satire. What a gift it was for me.
