MEPs were threatened with unflattering “edits” of their wikipedia pages during course of the debate. Supposedly neutral wikimedia ended up being a threat to MEPs. Says it all. It is not a neutral platform & is a lobbying tool of Silicon Valley, it should be investigated/taxed2/x

The fact wikimedia was handed 3 million dollars by Google shortly before it announced it was blacking out in opposition to article 13 looks suspect. I believe in order to prevent NGOs from becoming lobbying or “policy laundering” shops in EU, MEPs should at least investigate. 3/x

First thing I would do is look at the lobbying reports, and financials for
@WikimediaDE What is the "paid media" of the blackout. Also I would investigate the emails that went to MEPs threatening to "edit"@wikipedia entries. Whatever group behind that should get subpoenasPokaż ten wątek -
Ah Wikipedians always so balanced and on the side of truth CC

New word "Wikibully" From my experience this is classic wikipedian behavior. You know what I'm talking about if you've ever argued with these nut jobs. All for truth/reason until you say something they disagree with. Then they threaten to edit your wikpedia page.

let's face it. wikipedia is dead. What's left is essentially a policy washing machine for silicon valley.

Try this at home. Ask Jimmy Wales on twitter if he's a Cyberlibertarian (he is). he will block you. He knows that shit doesn't fly in EU where Wikipedia has been most effective washing policy for Google.

If that doesn't work. Ask Jimmy Wales how he got his start with a soft core porn website. He also tries to "Right to Forget" that shit as well.

Well let’s keep going on this thread. “Oh wikimedia how fucking corrupt and unhinged can an NGO be?” Check out the head of
@wikimediauk John Lubbock losing his shit and libeling me. This is just one of about 50 tweets . Fucking dumpster fire over there right?pic.twitter.com/TstL4kod0f

And John Lubbock
@wikimediauk is not just willing to make malicious libelous statements about me (hey what kind of car do you drive John?). He makes the demonstrably false claim Google only gives them a little money. $3.1 million in Janhttps://www.wired.com/story/google-wikipedia-machine-learning-glow-languages/ …Pokaż ten wątek -
And of course shortly after Joh Lubbock

Then Twitter send me this notice (see pic) Surely John Lubbock and
@wikimediauk neutral defenders of freedom of expression didn't try to get twitter to delete a tweet critical of their organization! Did they?pic.twitter.com/3mAOTND5cg

One could certainly be forgiven for assuming John Lubbock
@jwsal and@wikimediauk tried to limit my freedom of expression. Right?Pokaż ten wątek -
Boy i'd love to do a keyword search in
@wikimediauk and@jwsal email and messaging accounts. Too bad there isn't a way for me to do that. You know like people do when there's a legal matter and you get to discover what's in peoples emails, phone records and such. just saying.Pokaż ten wątek -

Ah thanks tipsters. Apparently
@wikimediauk has quite an atrocious history. At least according to this article.https://larrysanger.org/2012/07/the-saga-of-wikimedia-uk-and-its-chair/ …Pokaż ten wątek -
It keeps getting better. Rather than simply apologize/correct factual misstatements , John Lubbock chief of
